About Annette

Biography

Annette attended Portland Community College on a basketball scholarship, studied abroad at the European Peace University in Städtschlaining, Austria, and received her bachelor’s in politics from Willamette University in 1998.

Annette worked in Oregon state and federal politics until she moved to Los Angeles in the year 2000 to pursue a career in stand-up comedy and singing. Annette gave herself a deadline that if she was not rich and famous by the time she was 30, she had to become a lawyer.

Annette graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2008. Annette gained experience working at the nonprofit Housing Rights Center representing tenants, and then working for a boutique employee-rights law firm.

In 2013, Annette opened her own practice representing her clients in disputes regarding their employment, housing, and civil rights. In the years 2020 to 2023, Annette was named a Super Lawyer and Top 50 Up-and-Coming Women Lawyers of Southern California. From 2013 to 2019, Annette was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star and chosen as one of the Top 100 Women Lawyers of Southern California.

Annette is admitted in all California state courts and the United States Central and Eastern District Courts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Annette is a member of the National Employee Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Bar Association, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, and the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles.
